Preparing for Your First Bra Fitting
September 19, 2026

A fitting is a chance to talk about what you want from your bra: comfort through a long workday, a shape you enjoy under your clothes, or something for a particular occasion. You do not need to arrive with all the answers. Start with what feels good in the bras you already own, and what you would like to change.
Bring an outfit you actually wear
A favourite T-shirt or an outfit for an upcoming event can be useful when comparing styles. Seeing a bra beneath your own clothing helps you decide whether you like the neckline, coverage and overall silhouette. If you have a bra that you find especially comfortable or frustrating, bring it along as a talking point.
Share your preferences
Let the fitter know whether you prefer wired or non-wired styles, lighter fabrics or more coverage. Mention straps that slip, a band that moves around, or cups that do not feel right. Describe the experience in your own words; you do not need specialist terminology.
Take time to move
When trying a style, sit down, reach forward and move your arms. Notice how it feels as well as how it looks. Ask to compare another size or shape if something feels uncomfortable, and speak up about any adjustments you would prefer to make yourself.
